Refining and Maturing – The new DARKOH
When in 2013 we were desperately looking for the perfect brand name that would look good on a signage at a New York Fashionweek Show, our only intention was adding a little color to a rather dull and grey suit community.
One of our mission that never changed was making suits street chic and introduce a younger generation to the art of suiting. At that time, many US influencer such as Denny Balmaceda, Steven Onoja and Dathias had specialized in suits, and served as the perfect ambassadors for our edgy DARKOH suits
When we entered the German market in 2015, we experienced a very hesitated response. In a society, where suit colors were related to grey, black, blue and brown tones, our styles and patterns left many average men wondering, and yes, we truly apologize for that first shock but our fan base grew faster than we expected.
We now realized that our new approach to suitwear had hit a small nail that went deeper and deeper into the wood, which required us to step back after our FW16 collection and take a look at what the heck we actually wanted to express.
Fashion has changed, the species men has changed and is now embracing its individuality. And so did DARKOH. After three years in the industry and so much positive feedback from clients and experts, we decided to skip three seasons and make a cut in order to present a refined collection of what we think the modern man of any age should wear and express today.
Comfort and masculinity, as well as colors will always be the biggest aspect of our suits; however, we think a little maturity was necessary. Therefore, we can’t wait to publish our new Fall Winter 2018 collection right after New York Fashionweek .
