Spring/Summer 2016
BOHEMIAN BLUE IN A BRITISH RETROSPECT
The inspiration for the DARKOH Spring Summer 2016 collection derives from the party / free spirit inspired 1970s transferred into an early 90s gender-free mainstream look.
A luxury Bohemian look a la Mick Jagger is reflected in with contrast trimmed edges and wide round-shaped peak lapels on jackets that are formed in a comfy-cool, almost liberating but very English silhouette.
A 1990s slacker influence in form of minimalistic details incorporates a matureness and masculinity that stands for the DARKOH look. The options range from a casual single-breasted one or two button front to a lightweight double-button front paired with a feather light shirt variation to bring in a retro touch to contemporary tailoring. Pants are worn belt-free and with a comfy and playful fit around the leg.
Mix and contrast play a main role in this collection as faded blues and greens are mixed with powder grey and pink colors to establish an elective unity. The use of tropical wool dyed in strong reflecting colors, soft suede in powder tones and light cotton voile with floral and graphic prints underline the playful but never deconstructed suit silhouette.
A shade of sheer and shine reflects the opulent 70s glamour just enough to add to a conceptual and edgy look that can be worn with sandals as well as with sneakers or dress shoes.
