Featured Press on the FW 15/16 Collection:
There were more tuxedos and suits revealed at DARKOH F/W 15 at Studio 450, but nothing about the collection was cliche. Maroon colored block shirts, crimson velvet and wool suits, silver patterned shirt and silver tweed wool tuxedo jackets pushed the boundaries, giving suits a whole new dimension.

Classic fall patterns and fabrics like Wool, Plaid, Tweed and Crimson Velvet (a favorite of mine) lead its way down the runway. It’s the execution of this season’s color palette that impressed me the most; it was vibrant, rich and masterfully matched.

Bespoke: It’s all the rage. We like our made-to-order this, that, and everything these days. From our food to fashion choices, we’re drawn to the unique. We get it– it’s cool. For investment pieces, like a staple suit though, that bespoke quality and precision tailoring can be out of reach or plain inaccessible for many. Darkoh is determined to change that for menswear.
The runway at Studio 450 was graced with enriched edible cinnamon hues and earth tones, paired with an excessive appetite for plaid, done with perfection. A very warm collection that reminded me of autumn which gave a very classic prep undertone. The bold prints spoke volumes as the clean lines and well tailored jackets toned and defined the structured silhouettes.
This was my second season attending Darkoh, and I must say that I really enjoyed the show especially since it’s menswear. You can never go wrong with a good suit some men or boys don’t quite understand that yet and it’s not okay but it’s okay, maybe you just don’t deemed them important in your life and that’s well “one day you’re going to need one, and then what?”

On the official opening day of NYFW the first show in attendance was the much awaited Darkoh. We have seen this brand evolve through the seasons and it only gets better each time. The color palette revolves around earth tones with rich hues of wine and black to ground the collection. Mad about plaids! The two pattern selections are on point and are a must have.
